Bradley was diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas in november 2006 at St James hospital in Leeds. On the 11th of December Bradley under went a 14 hour operation to remove the tumour, the team of surgeons also had to remove his gall bladder, part of his stomach, the head and midle of his pancreas and some of the small bowel. The surgeons were happy that the tumour was removed in its entirety, some chemotherapy was discussed as a precaution to mop up any stray cancer cells that may or may not be still present. Bradley was transferred to the RVI at Newcastle for any chemotherapy that may be needed. In January Bradleys information was sent to oncology departments all over the world due to the rare nature of his cancer. A concensus was reached to treat Bradley with the European protocol for unusual tumours. This involves 3 sessions of chemotherapy, 5 weeks of radiotherapy followed by a further 2 sessions of chemotherapy. Unfortunatley Bradleys scan in Febuary revealed that the tumour had returned to the original site and had also spread to his liver.
Bradley is currently undergoing chemotherapy, but to try and fight his cancer from every possible angle we are raising money to provide Bradley with a fully integrated program of treatments. There are treatments in this country and abroad that could help Bradley. We are currently filtering his water, providing him with fresh organic produce, filtering the air and juicing fresh fruit and vegatbles for him. The equipment we use was kindly donated from bobby's fund www.bobbywrightcancerfight.co.uk.
